Fans may be happy to have new music from Michael Jackson, but the King of Pop’s brother Jermaine is anything but.

In a recent interview, the singer, who is gearing up for a reunion tour with his brothers, expressed his unhappiness with Michael’s latest posthumous album “Xscape” as well as his excitement with going on the road with his brothers and entering a new phase with his bottled water business.

TR: What most excites you about this tour?

Jermaine Jackson: What excites me about the tour is that we have the chance to play the music—the feel-good music—and see the people react to it. It’s a great feeling, and it makes us want to give more. It’s also healing for us because of the passing of my brother.

TR: What motivated you to become involved with Vitá Water and use part of its proceeds to provide clean water?

After watching last night’s MasterClass with Justin Timberlake, I realized how much he had become the artist he is because of the major influence of the original genius entertainer, my idol, Michael Joseph Jackson. I also realized how incredibly special I was because I had the amazing opportunity to see MJ live not once but TWICE (Victory Tour at Joe Robbie Stadium at age 3 and the Bad Tour at the Miami Arena as a preteen).

Justin Timberlake NEVER saw him live until he performed with him at the VMA’s (MTV’s Video Music Awards with N’Sync who performed their single “Pop” in 2001)!

And being that tomorrow (May 13th) will be the release date for the much publicized “Xscape” album, I would be a terrible “Moonwalker” (MJ fan moniker from Instagram) if I did not include The King of Pop as this week’s #MCM.

Michael Jackson’s posthumous album, Xscape, is set to be released worldwide on May 13. But on Tuesday night in Dubai’s Qbara lounge, we had the region’s exclusive first listen.

Industry mogul L.A. Reid handpicked eight unreleased songs that Jackson had sung “from top-to-bottom, multiple times”, then set them over new music produced by Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, J-Roc, Stargate and John McClain.

The result? A Jackson album that delivers exactly what you would hope for: dark, crunchy R’n’B melodies, vocals layered so crisply they’ll give you chills and the king’s anguished spirit driving his every poignant lyric.

The opening track and the first single off the album, Love Never Felt So Good,featuring Justin Timberlake, hardly seems like the centrepiece of the record, though it’s easy on the ears. The tune stands out as a rare feel-good song, almost benign in its impact among gloomier…
