We Adore Thee! Prince Announces New Solo Album (DETAILS)

It looks like Prince has heard Tom Joyner’s jokes about new material!

The icon known as Prince has decided to bless us with a new album after a five-year hiatus. According to the Minnesota Star Tribune:

“[Prince] said he believed in albums, not singles: “I’ve finally got something that is a cohesive statement.”

Not to be confused with the upcoming album from his group 3rdEyeGirl, Prince’s funky solo record will feature production from mostly himself, rising producer Joshua Welton, and the track “This Could Be Us,” inspired by an Instagram meme made of him and Apollonia Kotero riding a motorcycle from his 1984 masterpiece Purple Rain.

The “Little Red Corvette” singer also divulged his opinion about radio’s need for new artists to be added into radio rotation and his annoyance with the time it takes for the music industry to release his content.

New Prince Dates Announced – This Is Not A Drill

Remember back in February when Prince came to London and caused mayhem?

You know, he did all those secret gigs where people had to queue for hours and hours and were told tickets were £70, but when they got to the door it was only a tenner, and then they were all really smug and happy, but the people who dropped out were really sad, as were the ones like me who just kept finding out too late and missed him altogether.

You know, that time.

Well, if the rumours are true, he’s on his way back.

According to The Guardian Prince will be playing in Birmingham on 15 May, Manchester on 16 May and Leeds on 23 May.

And that’s where the rumours stop, because as yet there’s no official confirmation or info on venues.
