Jay Z breaks 10-month Twitter silence to congratulate the Raptors

The Brooklyn Nets advanced to the second round of the playoffs with a thrilling 104-103 Game 7 win over the Raptors in the Air Canada Centre. To put it another way, former Nets owner Jay Z claimed victory over Raptors exec Drake.

The Nets led by as many as 12 in the second half, but Kyle Lowry guided the Raptors back to have a shot to win their first playoff series since 2001. In the final seconds with the season on the line, Paul Pierce blocked a Lowry shot to seal the game and send the Nets to Miami on Tuesday.

Drake took a polite shot at Jay Z earlier in the series, joking on the Game 1 broadcast that the 44-year-old was probably “eating a fondue plate” somewhere. The Nets responded by pranking Drake on the scoreboard in Game 6 in Brooklyn.
